Binh Duong Province is one of the South Eastern Provinces of Viet Nam and gathering with Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai Province and Baria-Vung Tau to create the highest growth of economic from now to onward. The average growth of GDP of Binh Duong has annually reached from 13% to 16% for years

Binh Duong Province covers an area of 2,718 km2 with 830,000 people supplying more than 446,000 labours. The strength of economic development is targeted & oriented on industry occupied 63%, service and agriculture occupied 27% and 10% respectively.

This economic region has been highly valued and concentratedly encouraged on investment for development by Vietnamese Government. In future, Binh Duong is going to become a big city of Vietnam.

Education - Education is primary national policy, hence education will develop in compliance with the demand of development of human resources for social-economic development. Education will be socialized, 70-80% children at the age 3-5 years are guaranteed to go to kindergartens, 100% children at the age of 5 have preschool education, 100% children at the age of 6 will be mobilized to go to 1st class, 80% children will finished primary education before the age of 12 years, 100% localities are considered universalized primary high education, 98% people at the age 15-35 years are literate, 50% people at the age 15-35 will have finished the program post-anti-illiteracy, 100% people at the age of 15-25 will be free of illiteracy. There will be 5-7 vocational high schools and 5-6 colleges and universities.

Over 2,700 teachers will be educated (540 teachers per year) so that 100% teachers are at standard level. There will be built new 1,476 classes, 100% primary high schools, 80% basis high schools, 50% primary schools and 30% kindergartens will have multistoried units. There will be built 15-18 new primary schools and 4-5 primary high schools at national level.

In the context of limited budget, in order to ensure the demand on development, it is required to have good implementation of the policy of socialization of education, mobilization of organs and individuals, including foreign investments, in education development, developing public schools in one hand and expanding private and semi-public schools in the other hand. System of primary high schools in villages will be built, in the districts and towns will be high schools in compliance with populated areas. The partition of schools by grade will be completed.

Based on education plans, the Province focus on arrangement of land fund and investment in reasonable manner so that a net of solid standardized schools and classes, could be built.

Social policies - The Province will continue to take care of objects of policies by mobilizing different sources, to expand rural key infrastructure, especially in remote areas, paying attention to coordination between economic target with social aims, creating more jobs for increasing number of laborers annually, decreasing rate of unemployment in urban areas, increasing useful working time in rural areas. The Province will do its best to decrease the number of poor families, continue good implementation of repayment in kind, care of families of invalid and revolutionary martyrs, families deserving well of the revolution, Heroine Vietnamese Mothers, build houses of affection and mercy
